Before
the chair.
Questions are part of the work. Read what matters before you arrive, then ask the rest when we meet.
Still unsure? Start with a consultation.01Do I need a consultation before booking?Appointments
For a major change, colour work, extensions, corrective work, or anything you are unsure about, yes. The consultation gives us room to understand your hair, your routine, your references, and what you want the result to feel like before we decide on the service.
02Do you work with every hair texture?Hair
Texture is part of the starting point, not an obstacle to work around. The studio approach considers pattern, density, movement, condition, and the way you actually live with your hair. If a request needs a specialist technique, we will make that clear before an appointment is confirmed.
03How should I arrive for my appointment?Appointments
Come with your hair in a condition that allows us to read it honestly. Unless your booking says otherwise, avoid heavy oils, edge control, or products that hide the natural movement of the hair. Any specific preparation will be included with your appointment confirmation.
04Can I bring reference images?Studio
Please do. References help us understand proportion, mood, finish, and what you are responding to. We use them as direction rather than a promise to copy another person's hair exactly. The final shape should belong to you.
05How long should I expect to be in the studio?Appointments
Timing depends on the service, density, length, and the amount of detail involved. We would rather give the work the time it needs than rush the last twenty minutes. Your estimated appointment length will be confirmed when your booking is accepted.
06When will I know the final price?Appointments
Straightforward services can be priced when the appointment is confirmed. Transformations, colour, extensions, or corrective work may require a consultation first. If the scope changes, we discuss it before the work changes with it.
07How do I make the result last?Care
Longevity starts with the service, but it continues at home. We will explain the washing rhythm, handling, protection, product weight, and maintenance that suit the work you leave with. The aim is not to sell a shelf of products. It is to give you a routine you can actually keep.
08What if something does not feel right after the appointment?Care
Tell us. Hair changes once it is washed, slept in, tied back, and lived with. If you have a genuine concern about the work, contact the studio with clear photos and a short note about what you are experiencing so we can understand it properly.
09What happens if I am late or need to reschedule?Studio
Appointment policies will be included with your booking confirmation. Because the studio works by appointment, late arrivals can affect the time available for the service. If plans change, contact us as early as possible so we can tell you what options are available.
10Will my appointment be private?Studio
Flux & Form is conceived as a private, appointment-led studio. The experience is built around attention rather than volume, so the consultation and service can remain focused on the person in the chair.
